FEB 4th! 8PM!
So thrilled to welcome my friend Aleksi Campagne from Montreal & his guitarist to the Healing Hall for a mini studio concert next month. The concert will featu
re some Aleksi Originals as well as an improvisational component featuring a live art demo by yours truly. There are only a few spots available as this is an intimate venue, so please RSVP if you would like to join us!
A word from Aleksi Here:
My name’s Aleksi Campagne, I’m a 25-year-old singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Montreal and I was basically born on stage. I grew up touring and performing with my mom, Juno award winning folk artist Connie Kaldor from Regina Saskatchewan, and I never really stopped. I learned classical violin on top of my folk roots, and eventually went to the dark side by studying jazz violin in Paris under Jazz violin master Didier Lockwood. What does all that amount to? Now I write my own songs, sing while accompanying myself on violin and I do it with a wide range of styles.
This coming February, my guitarist and I will be coming near you for a house Concert, and we would love to meet you there! The show will have original songs, maybe a few classics you recognize, high energy songs, solemn contemplative songs, stories, jokes, audience participation (just kidding) and everything in between. You don’t need any knowledge of classical, jazz or folk music, just be up for hearing some music with friends.
You can get a good idea for the show with a duo video I recently posted of an original song: https://youtu.be/ounXh_IrHeQ
